  • can we have a biggest draw bag competition too please? Think i must be up there with 26, 10, 15!

Saying that Quarmby isn’t doing too badly with 10, 17 , 10 hasn’t made it into the small lake yet and he’s supposed to have been in there twice!

  • lol i’m not even going to take that bait 😉

    All I can say is…

peg 10 first match when you wouldnt have given it to your worst enemy

peg 17 that blanked on 1st match and Pat got fish caked off on last match. Its only my immaculate feed and presentation that got me 9 points 😉 lol

  • foul hookers Rambo told me on 17, lift and drop until you hit a fin!

  • I’m looking forward to peg 36 Andy, i can feel it coming……

  • you wanna feel for my partner Andy, peg 18 blank then that well known winter flier peg 8, 1lb 12oz!

    • your partner is doing even worse than mine LOL

if we had fished together like we nearly did…we would have 52 points!! we’d have virtually won the league already

      • my partner has 3 out of a posible 20 points, he’s going to win his section next time tho Andy so watch out!

i blew out big time off peg 15 at the last match so i cant complain.

8 foul hookers lost, didn’t land one foul hooker. Need to go back to my summer size 12 animal get em in!

        • 5 points isnt blowing out big time really.

Pats kicking his ass hes got 7 points from a possible 30 lol

Pats gonna win his section the next 2 apparently so watch this space 😉

        • you need to use Middy hooks lol

          • give me a couple mate an i’ll try them out.

It was painful for Pat in the last match, sat right next Si who was catching

            • Rolfs can be a cruel place.

There’es no easier place to get beat by 100lb of next peg

              • I’d agree with that. End pegs can win by miles and miles as well. That’s basically what happened Sunday, the closer you were to peg 20 the more fish you had in front of you. It’s nice when it’s your turn tho and you’re sat on a shed load happily bagging up while the guys around you are getting neck ache!

Jon Walker battered a bloke last year on the next peg by 300lb that’s got to be a record!

  • I’ve got 1 more trip in small lake

I can feel 36 as well. I dont know why they are using 36 instead of peg 6 or 5. Even in August 36 is proper poor yet 6 can throw up 300lb

peg 36 best chance is when its crap cos then 1 lucky carp, but later on in winter league when 34,2,4,7,8,9 and 13 catch a few carp it will be a guaranteed 1 or 2 point peg

  • in my mind 5 and 6 should be in and 10 and 13 should be out. Won at the draw bad otherwise, same pegs have taken the top spots all.

OK the small lake will fish rock hard with that many bodies in it but at least the section points will be harder to come by

  • having 13 in with the little lake has been a bit of a joke really, I agree with you

    34,36,38,40,2,4,5,6,7,8

yes its gonna be dog shit but its also miles fairer than having people blanking when peg 10 is moaning cos he cant get through 4oz skimmers and shed loads of roach lol

could then be 10,13,14,16,18,22,24,26,28,30 in big lake giving people more room

    hindsight though I guess…

  • the 93-13’s look good Andy. is that what you use?

  • When I had 330 from 32 last year the guy on my right didnt have an awful lot but it wasnt a 300lb margin

the 93-13 are an awesome pellet hook but to be honest, they arent strong enough for Rolfs. Even though its been cold the crap have been fighting like maniacs. I havent dare’d risk it.

The KM-1 eyed are really nice too but again now up to Rolfs fish. The KM-2 is a copy of the pr36 but sharper.

I’ve got some more coming which are stronger.

    • I use B911 in winter and Animals in the summer. Or if I need a real meat gaff then Mustad extra power carp barbless, only hook I’ve never straightened. Straightened Animals loads of times!

5 and 6 are the shallowist pegs and that’s why they arent in, I won the section of peg36 in the last winter league, mind you I still dont want to be there so it’s no recommendation

  • Dupiaza:

the 93-13′s look good Andy. is that what you use?

There’s only one hook IMHO for carp fishing and that’s Tubertini 175’s. Winter Hooks on the other hand all I use is Middy 63-13 they are total class, Steve Gardiner put a few of us onto them about 10 years ago, if he rates them then nuff said. Roach bashing Green/Black Gamma’s

    • ive bent 175s into all kind of shapes at Rolfs. I know Jon W uses em but they are too springy for me.

Mark would struggle with a bent crow bar by sounds of it lol

YOUR KIDDING !!! You could count on one hand how many 175’s i’ve straightend, I’ve had weights over 200lb down the egde with these things using 0.22 direct, yank n bank with tight elastic and still have havent straighend one. Mind you mate I tend to hook mine in the mouth and not everywhere else like you LOL

  • extra powers mate. I could stop your trolley in its tracks with you pushing it with one of them! well, if they line was strong enough!

Leave those other fine wire hooks to the roach boys.

  • pellet_king:

The 861s are stronger than 175s and ive had them like pins when fishing near snags
to be fair, in open water only dupiaza would straighten on with his double brown hydro lol

at the moment i’m using a 6.4mm bush for my number 6 elastic, imagine what the double brown is going to go thru!

  • My partners just read my messages about his score so i’m getting fired!

I’m getting stick from Rambo now for the ribbing him online, think he might sack me soon….cheque book Rambo cheque book!

  • Andy , you been smoking Whitneys crack pipe or something, Dave Wightman uses 861’s and he never straightens them, mind you he also hooks fish in the mouth LMAO

    • Try using 861s next to Reed beds, or peg 1 at Alders farm

      it’ll be pin’o’clock

I’ve had f1s straighten em on bagging waggler at manor farm but then thats a method all in its own

      • peg 1 at Alders is great fun, ignore the bush fish to the point of the wall on your left and break out the extra powers!

if you straighten one on a carp I’ll give you my box

  • Relying to comments should be fixed now, there was an error when there were a lot of replies to one comment.

  • wow im a bit disapointed in that resault.
i was hopeing for around the 150ib mark
hope fully tomoro mite be a bit beter
