  • Short report John! I think i should confess to having a whole lake to myself!

  • An excellent win Mark. And your 5th Peg King too. (4 of them on the small lake so that proves you know what your doing when your on it.)
I think the lake water is a bit chilled at present and the Carp dont like it, they want some Sunshine as much as we do!

  • Thanks. You’ve got to be on them to get a bite though. Peg 10 on the Friday night match was so hard it was unbelievable.

9 bites all night! think i had than many bites in the first hour last night.

  • I think the fish are well spread out but the recent cold rain has caused a thermal incline in the water levels causing the fish to go on and off the feed almost on a daily basis.
Well that’s my excuse for mucking up on a good peg!
Do I take it that you are also now a member of the Peg 10 apreciation Society?

  • It did seem to be completely fish free and my “fill it in” approach didn’t work. I don’t normally fill it in, don’t know what came over me that night had visions of bagging down the edge when hind sight I probably killed it stone dead.

Think i would have caught more if a chucked a bomb into the middle of the lake and waited for a wrap.

Looking forward to drawing peg 32….. still!

  • Peg 32 is reserved for needy souls like PJ.
Seeing as you double ton just about anywhere on the lake you really dont need to fish it.
If you do draw it one day I think you should only be allowed to fish for 3 hours to give the rest of us a chance!

    • I’ve got a plan for 32 if i ever draw it as I’m convinced that peg is solid 24/7 given how many foul hookers people seem to get on it. Probably choke if I ever draw it….. I’ve seen PJ and Neil on it all year!

  • it’s all in the feeding!

  • gotta say it looked an awful match, only 50lb for 3rd

was peg 5 on its own i take it?

well done anyway Mark, still gotta catch em

    • We were pegged from 4-18 but one no show would have had peg 4. I was in 7 again but at the end of the match thought I might have 101lb in the net so slipped them back before anyone noticed!(Not really)

  • well done wednesday mark what pegs were in also like to see u on peg 32 have 2 things that work well on that peg myself

  • also picking up on your point of mark drawing in the little lake regular fishcap when he drew peg 10 on the night match he only had 9 bites all night because he spent four hours looking for peg 10 in the small lake it was only when john bennet informed him there was a big part of the lake he found it

    • Oh I knew where peg 10 was shame the carp didn’t!

Don’t think I’m ever going to draw 32.

Going to 6 and 8 now to see if I can get 5 peg kings in a row I’ve asked John if i can build i hotel if i get the street.

  • i think you deserve lake king with all those peg kings this year and coming so close last year good luck for 6 8 and 32 i also believe if u draw above32 and below 9 at rolfs every time u go there you would frame a lot in general

  • well done Mark..top performance…..i had most of my fish when you was weighing yours!!…i noticed the fish in my peg only bit when you was around….they must have thought it was you!!
