Thank you to Jon for being a very late stand in for me, I only phoned Bennet at 7.45am on Sunday morning and Walker was the best he could come up with! Some substitute!
He’s fishing in place of Pat in the next match and I’ll have £1 with you now that Quamby and Jon Walker Win the series with final match result.

it was solid with fish from 14 to 28, 95% werent feeding bit it was solid. When that wind died for a few minutes at about 12.30 I looked down the pond and I could believe how many fish there were it was stupidly solid.

I’ve yet to see a rule enforced mate, in which case you may as well do what you want.

Agree with you Steve, the rules do need to be adhered to more thoroughly. Some people stick to them, some people just take the pi55.

17, 28, 7 are ok, not world beaters but not 5hit either
As I keep saying, its all about taking your chances, if you’d landed that carp you lost on peg 7 on 0.07 bottom we’d had 55 points 2 points behind leaders.
If marks partner hadn’t done exactly same thing they’d be miles ahead probably LOL

For example I fished 16m towards peg 31 that noone else has done and won section.
Derek drew 9 and fish 5m down the edge all day and had 4lb
Also with 20 minutes to go I got of my box and dumped 250ml of pellets in and caught 2 late carp rather than sit there
as I say, you makes your own luck sometimes 😉
I did the same on peg 9 when you had 300lb off peg 16. 16m and paste to 31 = 260lb
well done yesterday Mark, you beat either side by nearly 100lb each, cant believe you were so lucky to have every fish in your peg…

if it stays warm and you get the wind up to 22/18 someone could easily do 3-400lb shallow from 16-25 as first time they have it shallow in the year they are usually so easy to catch its carnage

well Derek and myself are out of it that’s for sure, can’t believe 34 never threw up yesterday but that the way it goes. I can see why 15 has had a few fish sat there when it’s freezing cold, it’s about a foot deeper on that long line. As for 15 yesterday least said about that the better, I knew you wanted to be over that far side before the match even started, all those fish where sat opposite 17/18 & 22/23 fair play to Mark though he fished it far tidier than everyone else on the wagg, put the squeeze on the empty peg and that’s why he won the section, credit where credits due. Pete Arnold, Pat, Myself and Jeff were out of it before we wet a line

I’ve never seen you with your chin in your hand before Steve you did look proper bored. That 15 is deceptive. When you’re in it you feel like you have a large area of the lake to yourself but for some reason it looks better than it fishes. Or maybe we’re both mincers and should take up golf

Mike, Jim next to me was fishing a 4″ hook length on the feeder, once I noticed after 3 fish I told him it should be 12 inchs, he changed it and never had another bite on the feeder. Now I wouldn’t anyone disqualified but it does beg the question has he been using 4in on all the other matches when he’s caught on the feeder? Also Pete Arnold had over 100lb in a net in another round, another break of the rules…. If it’s an open it makes no odds to me but when it’s team fishing and youre all fishing for points it makes a difference to every single team FACT. As I said before I may as well turn up to the next match and fish bread or the method feeder, smash everyone up, say I didnt understand the rules and my result would still count from what I’ve seen so far. I not saying anyone is cheating far from it, but rules are surely rules, go to Gold Valley, Larford, and White Acres, break the rules and you are DQ’d end off.
ive seen people feeding 3 tins of meat in summer and they claimed they didnt know the rules…

That’s Rolfs for ya. It’s a really frustrating venue at times. The fish are proper clued up and feed in tight groups. It is soul destroying when you are on the opposite bank and someone is bagging. I reckon it doesn’t matter how good you are, those big fish just will not move.
Great spring weight yesterday by Mark, worked hard for it and reaped the benefits.
Seriously thought Derek was going to empty it on 34. He really struggled and only managed a couple of muggers. It’s also difficult now with 8,9,10 and 13 in with 36, 38 and 4! Would love 13 next time, loads of room and a really good peg and now it is warming it will get better.
Steve mate, I wouldn’t count anyone out yet. Other teams can blow right out next time, so it is wide open. Chin up and prep for the festival. If you don’t want your place Quarmby said he will have the 3 flyers instead!

In the interest of fairness, I think we should all agree not to use pegs 13 10 and 9 in the final and just shoe horn us all into the little lake to stop the final being won at the draw.
