  • Congratulations Andy on a class performance over three day top scoring on each of your three pegs well done.

  • well done to johny also a good three days

  • Chris Telling

    Well done Andy!
Thanks John for running the match
    See you next year!
Hopefully I won’t blow out on the last day……………..AGAIN.

  • 22 what a load of crap kiled me off straight away

    • thats the way it goes Mikey. Don’t worry about it, you could put Will Raison Steve Ringer, and Alan Scotthorne all fishing on peg 22 and they would still have come last

  • Chris Telling

    It’s winter fishing Mike, (even though it’s April) it’s a cruel game…………..

  • Danny well done but what could of been after you got bashed up by the carp on day 2 you could of come 4th.

  • I caught a carp off it and beat one bloke too, does that mean i’m better than Big Al and Steve Ringer lol 😉 Anyway Mikey, at least you had a good day on peg 2! After battling with icebergs for three hours and the icy cold wind on peg 22 i had to repeat the performance on 36 the next day! The only difference was no ice! lol Loved the wind and lack of fish and swearing all day lol What a weekend, Chris Telling thinks i suffer with turrets lol

  • I’ve got to say it was quite funny (in a peverse way) seeing you get Quarmby type rage on peg 22. You were not happy, especially when you could see what peg 16 was doing 9h with 500lb sat in front of him ffs

Joking aside av got to admit you drew 2 mega dog sh*t pegs and had 32 2ce when it was fishless

Bit of a kick in the ribs that at least 1 day you didnt have a good day out of the 4! I had visions of you burning all your tackle on the last day after the match to save loading the van

    • Thats the closest i’ve been to smashing up my kit! And i mean CLOSE! LOL To be honest Andy i’m like that most matchs anyway! Was good to see John,Pauline,Eddie and all the lads who fished…i still enjoyed it but i can’t think why? lol

      • I’m terrible thse days, definitely get worse with age

Mate, if you cant have a bit of a laugh even when you have a bad day then its time to call it a day

  • Yer it was a hard but most enjoyable weekend it fished well too with all the ice etc. nice to meet all the lads again like phill chris etc and well done quarnby we have to now suffer ur face in the banner for a while

  • lol it’ll be gone in 3 weeks tops

dunno where they get these pics of me I look like i’ve been attacked by a pack of rabid wolves lol

  • That’s cuz u just look that way andy lol

  • Too true mate, personally my highlight of the weekend was my loudspeaker announcement that i had caught a carp on peg 22! And on the last day sat on my box laughing at Chris fishing his heart out on peg 4! Have cupping kit, will fill it up lol

  • Was kinda funny when Chris shipped out 16m and swapped hands and then it tangled so he came all way in and it untangled itself lol, then he shipped out and it did it again

    boy he looked happy!

or as Paul Jay would say, have shovel must load up

  • Personally I think Friday was the best day of the weekend!

  • considering I poked you and persuaded you to go I think you owe me half your winnings. Well done

  • when you jibbed that carp i’ve never heard as many people muttering spawny something or other as much 😉

  • the first one is always the worst. The 1st carp I hooked on sunday and monday I was literally 5hitting bricks whilst playing it

first one always decides to fight like its life depends on it x2!

  • I had trouble with the last one on Friday, oh I have just remembered the last one was also the first one.

  • didnt see much ‘whipping’ going on though Mr Jones

    • I whipped it to a froth for 30 minutes then it iced over again.
So I decided it was time to learn how to fish peg 10 properly and watched a master in action.

  • lol you mean 1 spawny perch on a top kit

cant believe how it fished on friday, that must be bordering on the worst ever rolfs match?

    • A section winning Perch, I think a few of us needed to be sectioned after a day like that. Certainly the toughest I have been on.
Summer time is with us now so it’s all sun shine and roses from now on. Roll on the 10th!

  • Thanks to John, the Mrs, Paul and Olly for a great, well organised festival. Pity about the weather but the coffee and hot dogs helped!!. Well done to all the winners. See you soon, Gary and Sue the carp whisperer. I think i will have to fish next year and show Gary how it should be done 🙂

  • Chris Telling

Fishing 16 meters left handed was difficult, but the only to do it on that peg! I can now fish left and right handed?!!? Does that make me special?! LOL.

4 difficult days fishing. DAY 2 was unreal, dragging a big carp through 14 meters of ice! How my 4th section didn’t brake is beyond me!!

1st time I blanked at Rolfs! Then almost done it again on peg 4……..

  • Your definitely ‘special’ lol 😉 Did i mention i have never blanked at Rolfs, ever? Lol

  • Chris Telling

No I don’t think I heard it over the Loud Speaker?!

    Tell me again?

  • You were very close Phil.

  • Lol Chris! I was Eddie, but thats not the first time i’ve had to ‘look’ for a small wasp like perch!
