  • Well done to all you Jinxsters, a fine if motley crew you are.
Congrats to Mat on his overall double top carrying Neil, no easy feat, in the pairs no doubt!
Gemm was obviously handicapped with Malc “I’ll start when I get there” Doyle. (Mind you, were they disqualified as they are technically a threesome now!?)

Good to see Si has recovered from his recent poor run, just goes to show what a good draw can do for you (sorry Si, just couldn’t resist.)

  • What’s gone on super Si?? Spanked.com off next peg

Pull your socks up or Will’s gonna stop ringing you 🙂

    • Got side tracked catching them lovely roach 🙁
Rock hard, was just happy to see the float going under even if it was silvers 😀

      • I know what you mean, Si.
I went to the lake yesterday thinking if it’s going to be a bit slow I shall whip out a few Silvers.
19lb 12oz I had, many bites to keep me active (Approx 100 fishes) Couple of Roach around the 10-12oz mark, nice.

        • I think I may be doing that this weekend matey. I really enjoyed it and like you said some of the roach were massive. I had 1 over a pound and it was fin perfect 🙂 Also had a clonking perch close to 2lb. Made a nice change from those pesky carp 😀

          • I did a lot on a 3m whip fished at 2/3 depth. Definateley got more bites on the drop rather than once the rig had settled.
Those bigger fish pull back a bit which is fun with no elastic!
Caster seemed to get me fast bites which I all too often missed, must be getting old my reactions are not what they were!

            • I was on double caster and had them on the drop to start but got a better stamp of fish off the bottom when I bulked up and moved the shot 3 inches from the hook. The bigger perch even pulled out my pink vespe 😀 😛

              • My rigs were on 4lb line straight through, seemed a bit heavy for Silvers but you just dont know if one of those big brown submarines is going to come along and fancy a snack.

    • Aimless pleasuring at woodlane was awesome, hook a duckon the shallow pole!

  • I had 250ib a while a go on a top kit at wood lane how did u get on

    • lord only knows! no nets in so couldnt tell you. lost count how many fish I had after the fish ten minutes. Cracking fishing, 2.5 miles from my front door first time i’ve fished that back lake.

Did you weigh in your 250lb or is that an estimate?

You should fish the opens with a weight like that. Think Andy Gregory wins most of them with 120lb on the front lake shallow so you would clean up! £20 a ticket Opens are on a Thursday, darw at 8.30 fish 10 till 3.

  • No it was in a 6 hour match 254ib most down the edge some long shallow on the front lake

  • Yer I no mate just can’t fish the opens on the Thursday that’s why I do my own matches and club days on there

  • Next time your on their mike give me a tinkle if you’d like to take some money off me 07825633100
