WE CAN ACCOMMODATE ANOTHER TEAM MADE UP OF SUBS IF NECESSARY, PLEASE LET US KNOW IF INTERESTED. .DRAW TIME IS 9-30 FISH 10-30 TO 3-30
Afternoon gents,
Are we planning to use the same pegging as last year or is this open for some debate?
The little lake was dominated by pegs 13 and 10 for most of the series last year. Any chance of leaving them out and putting everyone in the little lake?
it will be tight, it will be hard fishing but it will be even (well, maybe more even…)
although I was lucky enough to draw 9 and 10 and stay out of the little lake, I also completely agree its too unfair
when I had nearly 30lb of silvers on a top kit they were almost blanking on 4,6,36,38
34,35,38,40,2,4,6,7,8 is 9 pegs
I’d do it that way, hard but fair (well 34 will probably win but you cant avoid that, 34 wasnt a patch on 9,10,13)
dig the lake out a bit, add 4 foot of depth to the little lake and it a greenhouse roof and it will be solid….
Re: Winter League matches … what are the draw/fishing times and are there any different rules/bans purely for these matches?
Also, please fill-in peg 8 and make it walk way (that walk nearly killed me last week and I thought I was fit!!) 🙂
Paul, The only rule changes is Bloodworm and Joker is allowed. And all Fish go in the net. No weighing in weighers. 100lb Max in each net. Carp and Silvers in separate net. Bring your own Silvers net if required.
John may have additional rules this year but that’s how it’s been in previous years.
WE STILL WEIGH FISH OVER 10LBS EXCEPT WHEN I DEEM IT UNSAFE DUE TO WEATHER OR BANK CONDITIONS
Hi ya John, have you given any thought as to the pegging for the Spring league yet?
Well done John and Si, the video of the semi is awesome! and good publicity for the lake.
was mugging allowed? cos someone can be seen clearly doing it lol
good video though, cant believe how well it fished considering flat calm and red hot. i know only 4 on but still good
id have taken 31 any day of the week, and then probably 13 since the margins were cut right back
And note the long line!! lol
Hey what happend to the guru video tonight sat down with my mate to watch it and it wasn’t on
Its on the 6th I think Matey…Look here.

THE RULES WERE RELAXED ON THE DAY, THE SAME RULE AS HAVING THE BIG FISH IN NETS WAS AS WELL. I HAVE THE RIGHT TO ENFORCE WHATEVER RULES I WANT. THIS WAS A UNIGUE OPERTUNITY FOR THE LAKE, AND I DID WHAT WAS NECESSARY TO HOST THIS PRESTIGOUS EVENT. AND IF YOU WATCH FISHING GURUS WHEN IT ON YOU WILL SEE THE SAME REASONING WITH THE RELAXATION OF THE RULES.
Lighten up John it was a joke…Really pleased for you with the Drennan cup semi final, was brilliant.
Well said John you can only do what you can it turned out good in the end
Good luck to everyone who’se fishing on Sunday.
Team 5 have an unusual name.
Team 6 must be the unpronouncables!
