Quite day was it, Mark!?
Cracking effort.
Shall we assume your back took the strain ok.
Great day for me Mick, probably one of the best days fishing i’ve ever had to be honest.
An end peg makes such a difference!
Does John do 400lb+ club T Shirts? I’ll treat myself to one if he does to remind me there’s a 1,000lb of carp in every peg next time I draw peg 10!
You’ll be wanting a mention in the Angling Times again, I suppose!
There’s a 1000lb of Carp in peg 10, if Peg 9 doesn’t snaffle them all first!
Yeah that would be nice, although I didn’t see the last one!
Two 400lb bags in 2 months cant be that common surely?!?!
All on the home made floats, unbreakable!
Making some yellow tip ones up for a night match
weights mean nothing really, steve ringer has never broke 300lb in a proper match yet won a zillion quid and only a million whiteacres festivals
Classic Quarmby, see the negative as usual….
Maybe some of the grapes were a bit sour.
I think you must have put in a stupendous effort on the day, utilising massive amounts of skill and experience. Having fish in front of you is one thing but they stil need bringing to the bank.
Jolly well done, Chap.
Cheers Mick
No probs.
Just dont fish any matches I’m at, I do a good enough job of embarrassing myself without getting whalloped by a heavy weight Henry!
ive just caught 448lb in 2 minutes (which is a lot more than yesterday lol) 😛 based on mark = 20 stone, Mick = 12
lol classic newbold, you constantly moaning about certain people who fish rolfs ‘cluck cluck clucking on facebook when they win’
anyone seen a black kettle? 😉
Yeah but the 400lb+ was worth a status update I thought as a minimum to be honest fella. Simple as.
Neve mind Facebook, your on my unofficial record as LAKE KING
Back aches today!
lol not at all Mick. Just making a point that people get obsessed with weights in general. I’ve had numerous days at rolfs where i’ve had 150lb which is a big weight lets be honest, yet it can be 12 bites.
50lb of roach at rolfs would be amazing achievement, i’m sure you would be miles over the moon yet lots of commercial anglers would class it as ‘rolfs is fishing hard only 50lb won, 100lb won gold’ yet the 100lb was someone who chucked a boilie out and had 6 bites in 6 hours
The way I’m fishing this year (One armed blind man comes to mind) I’d be happy with 50lb of anything that swims!
It was weird yesterday Mick, last 3 times I fished it ive had 70 zillion roach attacking me on 10mm pellet
Never had a single roach annoy me yesterday (or carp, or bream before anyone pipes up :p)
No Roach, Carp, Bream annoying you So what was the 121lb made up of?
Foul hookers according to my sources!
sadly everyone single one came off
even my 2 foul hooked bream came off
I always put foul hookers straight back as I dont think they should count, if it hasn’t taken my bait fairly I aint caught it.
Blimey. I dont have to put foul hookers back at Rolfs they tend to stay on just long enough to either brake my line, float or pole…….
Ping! zip, whack another Preston Red is dead.
Paul Jay collects the remains from the lake and gives me the bits back these days he seen me brake that many!
and probably sells them lol
perch 😛
thats my thinking these days Mick. There some lost fish yesterday, the place is definitely picking up. John Bennet lost about 5 monsters last half hour. Rambo on 28 lost every fish in lake. Peg 32 lost 200lb, Peg 13 nearly hung himself at one point
And there’s me telling everyone that fishing is a relaxing past time!
never seem rambo as sad, he even hung himself with his rig literally
and to round it off he hooked fish on whilst and elastic snapped and lost the lot LOL
You were constantly bullying him mate, I could here it form where I was……
if you’re pegged next to Quarmby, call http://www.nationalbullyinghelpline.co.uk/
Thats it for now, I have worked too hard today and it’s time I went home.
actualy JB was giving him more grief than me 😛
Well done Mark. I miss Rolfs 🙁
