Nice one JB. Was it an all silvers catch. It could go to the top of the Silvers board. Fingers crossed but I might be able to make it next Weds.(I’m pulling a few strings)
Weather forecast for next Wednesday is looking spot on for a bit of 3m whipping. I might have to order a 2nd pint of Caster, those roach wil be ‘aving it large.
I love the confidence and I hope your right as its the pairs league this sunday so hoping the roachies are back in the big lake or else its gonna be hard going
Looks like it could be a bit windy on Weds, so hope I get tucked up in peg 23, gonna blow them all back to big lake so hope you dont pull 38 on Sunday! I shall be in my nice warm office playing internet card games (it’s a hard life at times!)
Good news, Andy. Plenty of Roach in big lake. Today I had 125 fish off peg 23. 28lb 4oz (inc x6 good Perch) All on red maggot, not a single bite on caster. 2.5m whip fishing is soooo easy!
Hope you dont have to clear ice on small lake as the weather is getting a chillier over the next few days. I’m working this weekend and just hope we dont end up having to clear snow in the car park (cant have the public falling over!) It was a bit odd yesterday as I dont think anyone netted a decent Bream, most strange.
I use a pair of fingerless Damart thermal gloves, which keep my hands nice and warm, but also slip on underneath a pair of fingerless 1st aider rubber gloves too, they keep most of my hand dry so handling fishes not a problem. Now if only I could find an effective way to keep my toes warm…..
It’s west with a touch of south so blows into small lake pretty much. I dunno if it’s pike or what but they seem to shoal up in 38 in winter now which is odd cos years gone by 38 was dire in winter
You can See I fed the swim for you

yeah it seems like when bream feed, the roach dont, and vice versa
I did sneak x1 hybrid in.
as long as its not frozen i don really care about a bit of snow in car pak….As long as its not mid match and my fingers freeze and snap off! 🙂
