Well done to all the anglers for fishing one of the coldest and toughest leagues ever .
That will be the lowest weights ever to be seen down the lake as the fish certainly do no not like that cold water from the stream.
John has done a great job keeping the lake fishable in difficult times and we hope the weather gives the festival anglers a chance of some fish.
Well done Steve and Derek for winning the league and being the most consistent anglers over 6 rounds top chaps as Rolf would of said.
Well done to my web partner Simon for getting the results to the website in super fast time top man.
John did them mate, I just did the overall results. Mr Bennett is learning fast 😀
He has a good teacher though lol
Well done Derek and Steve!
4oz for 8 points?
1oz for 6 points?
you should have come, least you’d have got 6 points for coming last 😉
no ta. fishing for plankton and bacteria is not my bag mate. Rambo kept his fish in a bait box they were so small!
the phantom angler is alive lol
Still waiting for that thermometer to read plus 20 C
Instead of – 20 with wind chill.
End pegs do it again
5 people didn’t weigh in in B section. Well 4 people and 1 team missing. Mega points for last in section 😀
Hi, Simon. Gemma must be getting close to weigh in time now!
10 days to go Mick. She is about ready to burst. For an idea on the size of her belly, just click here… http://sphotos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/412555_10152002685015722_997689944_o.jpg 😀 😛
I was actually looking for this pictures but both work well lol….. http://sphotos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-frc3/291027_10150848912190722_1131644276_o.jpg
A proper eclipse going on there, no wonder everyones cold down the lake with that casting a shadow!
I hope you have got your friend “Justin Case” at the ready?
lol Julian
He thinks i’ve stitched him up
Well done to Derek & Steve, excellent consitancy over a very difficult period.
All who competed deserve a well done to as conditions at times must have been horrid!
it was very cold Mick, my landing net froze to my keepnet and I lost a big perch lol
still, all good fun
speaking of elusive…not seen too much of you either Mr Jones…you not going soft as well are you? 😉
Peg 10 is calling you
I have mainly been keeping warm this winter!
Contary to popular belief I am not going soft, I have gone soft! Currently suffering with Tennis elbow in the right arm, painful even lifting a cuppa.
Got an eye on Fridays open but then again got the other eye on the weather forecast.
Ha, al let you off, tennis elbow is a killer, my dad had it but then it suddenly went
get on friday it will be fun, ill save peg 36 for you lol
you on the open friday then? must be mad…..
ha thats the spirit, its coming a bit warmer there’ll be fish to be had
I would be intending to “whip” a net of silvers out but not too sure how the arm will feel after that.
lift the cuppa with the other hand
Andy, I am assuming your 19lb 8oz was all Silvers, as per the recent AT article?
Perch mick. Some proper reptiles under that tree ready to spawn
Never had a roach or anything, 5 perch and a pup chub 13lb 8oz
lost 2 carp as well 🙁
Beasty Perch like that about no wonder the Roach went missing!
he was my partner on sunday Mick. Dunno where Julian came from but its funny taking pi55 out of him. Julian Mabare LOL
ah come on mick, we’ll have a laugh if nothing else
you know it makes sense….
It’ll mean another pint of wriggly things to buy. (but then again I did read an article about catching proper Roach on pellet recently……)
Is the occassional run round the lake to warm up allowed?!
biggest ive ever caught Mick, awesome looking fish, really defined stripes and bright fins
beast of a spine on top
Not pellet fish then.
ha ha, yeah get your trainers on mick
I reckon 30 seconds a lap record? 😉
I suspect wellies will be the prefered foot wear of the day.(or ice skates)
The only running I do these days involves a bath!
derek caught 30lb of bream on peg 7 on pellet
sadly I never had a sniff-a-roonie on a pellet 🙁
That must make Derek Silvers King at present, nice net of fishes.
yeah think it does
however my 450lb of bream on festival will eclipse that LOL
Your on an Irish Festival then are ya?
I meant this easter 😛
In that case the cold has certainly done something odd to your head.
lol Mick, that happened years ago
I reckon 60% chance it will be frozen on friday morning
If thats the case 10th April might be my rise from hibernation.
it wont be frozen….too windy
6-7oC at weekend
ah come on Mick, eskimo fishing is fun
the wind chill will only be -20 LOL
