Rolfslake Wednesday Open 29th April 2015
Cold day down the lake.
Today saw 9 anglers down the lake and it was the small lake that was selected by John for todays match as there had been good weights there last Sunday.
The story of the match saw a very slow start for 7 of the anglers with the exception of Mark Newbold and Graham Ridgley who were into fish very quickly as there was a glimmer of sun on the water making it slightly warmer. Down the bottom of the small lake it was lifeless for most as it was very cold with the wind blowing into peg 39.
The winner today was Mark Newbold on Sundays winning peg 34 and Mark caught on a long line to the rope fishing on the deck fishing pellet and also down the edge also fishing pellet feeding pellet for his weight of 182-04 and included fish mid double figures.
In second place was Dave Wilsden who was on end peg 8 in the channel between big and small lake and Dave also caught fish over 10lb in his weight of 85-00. Completing the frame was Graham Ridgley who caught big carp to 15lb on a combination of bomb and pole fishing pellet feeding pellet.
