There is a open match tomorrow Good Friday times on the website and the lake is closed for the Easter Festival { Saturday, Sunday and Monday }.
To all the anglers fishing the Easter Festival John has mentioned that you can use your own keepnets and landing net tops
during the three days but they must be dried on the banks prior to fishing and spare nets will be available if required.
Draw times for the three days of the festival are draw 9.30 fish 11 to 4.
Good luck to all those competing and if you have any questions in advance regarding facilities or rules please contact John Bennett to clarify thank you.
Thanks for reading John, Simon and Eddie.
Well done, Pete. Excellent performance.
I enjoyed sitting on motorway bank watching all 4 anglers playing fish at the same time.
At least the journey home was a lot quicker than it was getting there. Think I’ll be setting off about 5am on Friday just to be on the safe side!
To be fair Mick, sadly the best part of the performance was drawing end peg 8.
Car park bank wasn’t that good Mick, 26 dnw and 32 only had 65lb
To be fair, Andy, Pete had a lot of pleasure anglers lobbing feeders around in small lake.
It was like the sinking of Bismark at times!
Yep looking forward to tomorrows match as I am still in need of some serious chill out time following yesterdays 1 3/4 hour traffic jam. Mind you M40 junc 1 – 8a in 20 minutes just got me there in time!
you nearly got your wish of peg 10
should be good match tomorrow with 16 of us, they wont have anywhere to hide the buggers!
Eddie put in a “Blinding” performance in on Peg 10. Totally dazzling (or was that just all the Suns reflection!)
it doesnt effect you though as you can draw so many fish from the small lake, and the fish in the big lake soon begger off down the channel
Aghhh sounds fun on the roads. Nothing worse
not enough to beat JB though sadly 😛
Lost too many foul hookers down that left hand margin.
Mick i lost 14 or 15 fish either on the platform or around the nets .
The peg was poor for 3 and a half hour then when the sun went down it was solid. Not enough time to catch John sadly and i was on full terret mode losing that last fish on the bell.
It was was fun seeing Micheal in full melt down mode as he blamed everything and then got beat by his mate.
