  • Any Open matches over the Bank Hol weekend?
Or can I just pleasure fish on the Sunday?

  • John, I have got my hands on a fine 12yr old bottle of Glenlivet Scotch Whisky which I will bring on Wednesday to donate to the raffle.

    • if i fish this week like i did last Wednesday i will have a fine collection of fishing tackle to donate……

Mick, could you give me a shout if my float goes under this time, i might strike quicker that way!

      • Last week I had plenty of time to watch your float, this week I am going to Plan D so I shall be a lot busier.

        • im taking a leaf out of pauls book this week….

          1. have the same length line from float to pole as you do from float to hook

          2. Shot your float with one number 8 and leave 3 inches of tip hanging out to avoid striking at liners……….

          3. Dont use a toss pot, use a 3 pint bait tub each put in!

Works. couldnt believe my eyes but it works!

          • I can only assume he had misslaid his tackle so had to slide the float down on the one rig he had left, shot pinged off and he could find none on the pallet to replace it with and on striking a recent bite too hard his toss pot flew off and is stuck up a bush some where (probably peg 7!)

            • on conclusion, the harder you try at rolfs the worse you fish.

              Relax

dont worry about your rig and presentation, if they’re hungry they’ll soon let you know!

i did find it amazing tho last week. Fish in front of me zero bites.

point my pole toward paul (same depth, same rig, same bait) only 12 – 15 foot left, bang the float shoots under!!!

              go figure
