Report – yam yam got a right smacking off micheal the bagger 🙂
I can safely report that peg 38 is not the place to draw when its snowing….. Thank god I’m in the big lake next week.
Well done Andy on another match win. How much did you pick up mate?
Bout time you drew a ‘normal’ swim drawbag….lol That’s a depressing draw in the cold, lovely and shallow!
Best draw I’ve had this series has been peg 10. The others have been average in my book!
26 with 14 empty…what a drawbag! peg 15, what a peg that is! You drawbag! I’d run to them peg’s drawbag! I’m only kidding you Mark! Seriously though can’t believe how good 10 has been, hardly ever beat’s 13 let alone all them other peg’s.
Peg 10 is the peg at the moment I that section. Mick will be please, he’s good at drawing 10
He’s good at drawing any good form peg lol nearly as good as you lol although he wasn’t to impressed with peg 36 the other week!
i never had 36 mate and it dosent mater it was the angler on peg 10 who made the diffrence
Peg 10 has scored 38 points out of a possible 40, better than Andy Quamby and he’s nearly aced it!
Maybe peg 10 should be in the individual angler of the tournament competition?
I think 13 has scored 29 out of 30 was not drawn when it was frozen.
Peg Kings on 36 and 38 are like 25lb? shocking!
lol sory si
Its fine, I have more points fishing 2 matches than you have fishing 3 matches lol ! 😀 😛
Did I take the pee when you had 5lb last round, err no 😉
You tell him yam yam! Bloody cheeky drawbag ain’t he lol 😉
Filt o fish a Si, battered both sides!
I went for a warm for an hour to let them catch up, maybe that wasn’t such a good idea lol
shocking typing!! – filet o fish!
lol dont wory mate im the worst 4 typing
Sorry, was on about My mate Mick Lane not you Mikey. He’s nearly as good at drawing as you and Mark…
ha lol pmsl
A tight match, so tight there were 2 anglers on peg 30 (Cosy!)
Your right there Mick, always thought those two were, you know…close lol
Fixed the cosy peg situation. 😀
well i cant rember but i think you did at one point.
any way i was the furthest away from the end of the lake and they were bagging up there end were as the more you whent down our end the wors it got.
im still looking forward to the report si as i said at the start of the match as long as i beat you i will be happy lol 🙂
phill what are you on draw bag far from it i cant wait to see yore draw at the festival 16,14,22 lol
mine 38,7,4
Mike, You must be special if your going to fish A section every day !!!!!
Well Mikey boy…7 is normally a good ‘un on the festival, i’ve had 37,38 three years on the trot on easter festivals so i think i need a rest from those! i had 19 two years on the trot and that is not a good peg with 18 and possibly 20 or 21 in, trust me on that! 16 and 14 are normally in the same section but i’d be happy with either! Remember it’s pole only and there will be more peg’s in, it’s tight in places! If we do the sections as normal i’d fancy 34,2 and 7 in the little lake, 8 is unbeatable if it’s warm and in the big lake…13 or 28 in the middle section and in the bottom section 24 or 14,15 but if 19 and 20 aren’t in then 18 and 22.
But spring is wind dominated mate, if the wind is warm you want to be with the wind. pegs like 40 or 21 will do big weights if a warm wind blow’s in ’em. Either way, we will have a good crack, i will moan a lot and hopefully we will bag some carpes!!!!
lol pat!
wow phill a lot of detail i have fished rolfs before lol
i no what you mean mate i never fished it with that many pegs so you dont no whats going to happen on the day
Better buy about 5 numbers four’s Mikey lol
ok pat you got me there i fogot we have to fish all three sections
Is that to go with the section he broke next to me when he was on 8 and I was on 7
hi phil you wont get any of them good pegs we usually follow each other round the lake when i fish the festival 37 10 two years ago cant fish this year gutted as brandons footballing so cross me of the list simon nice to see young michael doing well
Gutted you won’t be there John!! Hope to see you soon. Your lad must be doing well with his football, good to hear!
good to hear from you phil yes his football kills my fishing and hes doing good will try and get down one night on the festival if your sleeping on site for the crack hope your drawings improved for this year phil
I know you’ve fished rolf’s before Mikey but no disrespect when i say your peg knowledge is as bad as your spelling! lol
Despite what my festival result end’s up, i know the lake better than most.
Glad your well John and be good if you come down, would be great to see ya! Hoping for better swim’s this year!
to mikey (fils write hes layke nolledge is seckon tu non yew wanna drawer wear fil ses aand yu mite won the festivul rote thus sow yew cud reid it must av sayme spel chequer ) all the best mikey good luck on the festival john
thats a bit harsh mate lol i no quite a bit from the other anglers as well.
i do no one thing is if you speek to every one alot of people have complete diffrent views its funy cuz you talk to one person and they say 4 is a flyer talk to another and its rubish i think its mainly down to personal experiance .
but im shore you no alotso you can do the drawing 4 me if u like lol
pat lol i manage to get all of them for free so far so im pleased with that
john ha ha very funy mate lol
Those people’s view’s are wrong or they’ve been misunderstood. Peg 4 is brill in summer when it’s warm because it’s very shallow. Peg 4 used to be the end of the lake til rolf dug it further along. that’s why from 4 across to 37 there is a bar of shallow water. Derek won the first day of the easter fest last year off peg 4 with 250-300lb coz it was really warm with no wind and the fish wanted to be in the shallow water, sunbathing. In winter it’s the worst peg coz of the depth, the list of dry net’s off of it over the year’s at this time of year prove it. You will learn the lake, the peg’s and it’s mood’s by fishing it for years and years like me. And my cheeky/cut you dead comment’s are only in jest, don’t take me seriously! I’m a joker!!
Lol John! You still got that gorilla mask!
yer i no that mate i have nothing against what you send.
random question what do you thing will be the top peg in each section and the worst
plus as i havent fished the festival what pegs do they normaly use
your right mikey we all have our favourite pegs what ive seen over the years is end pegs become flyers so when 40 and 2 werent in 4 and 37 became end peg flyers big lake only pegged 9 and 32 superb wind into 40 and 2 or at 19 and 20 same result my guess for festival is pegs 34 2 7 8 13 14 15 and then wind orientated pegs if its sunny mugged fish will play a big part all you need is 3 good draws mikey easier said than done
yer i have seen it happen a lot you it dosent mater how good you r u need to have the fish there to be able to catch them.
well said john its all on the draw
yes still got the gorilla mask phil have put a bit of weight on lateley so have stopped wearing it as people were mistaking me for mick lane last time i wore it hid in the bushes behind 37 and scared jonny walker to death
Lol you crack me up John! The peg’s John said Mikey are spot on really, but i would add 24 to the list. We normally peg 34,36,38,40,2,4,6,7 32,31,29,8,9,10,13,14 and 27,26,24,23,21,18,17,15 but depend’s on the turnout and the weather really. 8 can be unbeatable if it’s warm and to good for that section so we will see.
it can be cruel after first day lasts in section and last but ones cant win festival but one good draw and you can win a few quid back 100lb a day would be good good friday is always a good way to see whats going to happen always remember i think hot weather little lakes superb heavy rain kills it in there have you looked at last years festival results you will see how peggy it can be
i have yer and the same ones win it every day we will as i am up there from wednesday and im staying over the lake so it should give some sort of a idea whats going on
all the best phil and mikey time for the settee catch you soon bye
all the best mate
