Private Match Friday 6th September 2012.
Super Si shreds the opposition.
Today Rolfslake welcomed Gary Horne and friends down to the lake for one of their annual visit and as usual this match was well attended. John tells me that the weather was warm with a breeze blowing into the small lake where the winner of Thursdays match came from peg 2 with 180lb followed by peg 40.
The story of the match was the fish were mostly feeding in the small lake today with many anglers experiencing foul hooked fish through feeding too heavy where the current trend tends to be to feed for one fish at a time as too many in your peg cause to many line bites and false indications.
The winner today and on an incredible run was Rolfslake’s co website owner Simon Mound who today let all the other anglers draw first so he could not be acccused of being a drawbag and in the bag was peg 40 where the fish had gathered over the last few days. Now for the those anglers out there that think that Simon draws all the flyers they would be wrong as Simon has won matches this year from all areas around the lake and also with big weights on what are very simple methods and normal baits.
Today Simon made it three wins in a row from peg 40 at the bottom of the small lake and Simon just concentrated on two areas the platform of peg 39 at 13 metres where he caught some fish but when he turned around to fish the outer leg of the platform on peg 1 at the bottom of the slope the fish where there ready and waiting, and Simon caught his ususal run of fish to double figures in what was not only a great weight for this peg with his final weight of 196-05 he also took Mick Jones peg king off him which lasted all of three days { very well done Simon }. At this moment Simon is unbeatable down the lake and i would not be surprised to see another victory as he is fishing a club match on Sunday as well.
In second place was Nick Horne right at the other of the big lake on peg 22 who put together another ton weight of 136-10 and in third place was Alan Stokes on peg 30 who also caught another good weight and just ahead of fourth with his weight of 109-05 { sorry Nick and Alan i dont have any details of your methods and baits }.
Results.

Eddie stop making me sound like a super hero lol and no more tricking me in to posing with garden equipment for for crazy stories hehe
Si, unfortunately I am on holiday this week so have not been able to update my Peg King list, so I am still on it for peg 40 (oh dear, how sad, never mind!)
I have however surrounded your Lake King title with stars, as you are such a Hero.
No problems Mick, I only have two anyway as the superstars set such good weights earlier in the year 😀
lol the pics are good Si, make the most of the good days cos there’ll be plenty of poor days 😛
and..not weasled, I booked on nearly 12 months ago 😛
neil and his ‘secret festival limited to 20 😉
24 on and counting
Eddie wanted a picture before I chopped the bush between peg 6 and peg 7 out, after he took it he told me what he was going to do with it… bloody clown.
You can ship back on peg 7 now without hitting peg 8’s pole 😛
