The carp are on spawning round 2.
Today on a rare Saturday Open at Rolfslake which saw sunny conditions and large groups of fish chasing each other, making it difficult for the anglers to catch them.
Today’ winner today Robert Rayment actually came from peg 4 and not form peg 8 for a change.
Robert caught his carp from various parts of his swim either down the edge or at short range to amass his winning weight of 90-00 ( well done Robert).
Robert won by one carp from the chasing Neil Fenner and Paul Herel in a very close match today.
One the carp have spawned again expect weight to rocket as they usually do and the first 300lb weight won’ be far away.
