Dave Wilsden Charity MATch

Dave Wilsden Charity Match.

Today saw 17 anglers come to support Dave Wilsden in raising some money for charity.

The two charities that were going to be supported this year were,

RNLI and

Cancer research .

The anglers were seperated into 3 sections with the top overall ,top carp weight and top silvers weight being paid out in each section.

After 5 hours on a moody and cold Rolfslake but fished in good spirits the results can be seen below.

At the end of the day Dave together with anglers and friends raised a fantastic £210 which was going to be shared equally between the two charities.

Dave and Graham would like to thank all the angler both at the lake and the ones that were unable to attend and also John and Pauline for looking after the anglers during the day.

Rolfslake Wednesday open 24th April

Land of the Giants in today’s match.

Today’s midweek match saw another collection of specimen size fish caught upto 22lb but also many over 14lb.

Todays winner and lake regular was (Top Tackle’s) Gordon Worrell who was fishing peg 16 on the motorway bank.

Gordon fished a combination of corn and pellet to catch his 10 carp and fished straight out and on the deck for his weight of 92lb

In second place was me Eddie and I fished the Bush to my left on peg 8 called the jungle and managed to catch 6 carp for 82 and a new PB common of 22lb.

I fished micro pellet and SoSimple GRP paste also feeding corn.

In third place was Mick Chappell who was very close and again caught big carp for his weight of 77lb.

When the weather becomes a bit more stable I expect the weights to rocket over 200lb as these fish are certainly big in this lake.

Gordon Worrell. Top Tackle.

ETG with a new carp PB of 22-00.
