I DID HAVE A INQUIRY ABOUT A MATCH ON FRIDAY, LET ME KNOW IF INTERESTED.
The next round of the winter league on jan2nd will be round 4 and the new date will be round 5 on the 16th January and round 6 on will be on January 30th.
we are one short for the next round(4) if any body is interested please contact me.
The temperature on arrival at the lake at 8.45 today was minus 9deg, The lake is covered in a 2 1/2 in layer of ice. I managed to get the aerator working in front of the office but not the one in the small lake. So i have decided to cancel the thought of any open tomorrow and go for an open on Wednesday, they have promised a big thaw on Tuesday so hopefully Wednesday will be ok. please let me know if interested.
As the winter league match was cancelled John ran a little open for anyone brave or stupid enough to get to the lake today. š
Kev Dolton (camera man, thank you) John Bennett, Steve Water and Frank Hardie braved the minus 9 conditions to try and catch some fish. Everyone caught some bits and a good laugh was had despite everyone been freezing cold.
Here are a few pictures Kev took today for those who have not seen them on Facebook.
Many Thanks again to Kev Dolton for the use of the pictures. Nutters, all of you !!! Wish I could have been there though š
Match 4 of the winter league has had to be cancelled sorry. This is due to dangerous driving conditions caused by yesterday and today’s snow.
Sorry for the short notice but we cannot control the weather. John would rather be safe than sorry as health and safety is always high on his priorities.
If you read this could you spread the word to people that do not have access to the internet.
There will be an open for those that can make it to the lake safely. Draw is at 9.30am.
John will meet with everyone at the next match on the 2nd Jan to discuss adding an extra match on the end of the series, depending on if people are free to fish and have not made alternative plans.
Once again sorry for the inconvenience.
