Paste wins todays match.
With anglers joining Tim Hadland and friends today, the club booking turned into a open match .
With 15 anglers fishing on a rare Saturday and late match the anglers were hoping for a few fish.
Today started warm then turn cold with light showers which seem to put off the fish from proper having a feed.
Today match was won by me Eddie who was drawn again on peg 14 on the motorway bank in the big lake.
It started slow for me with my stiff paste mix not working very well and I missed lots of bites due to this. A switch to a softer mix transformed my catch rate and in the end I had 6 carp to 16-04 and 1 bream for my winning weight of 90-01.
In second place was Pete Hancock on peg 4 who fished pellet and a combination of pole and the tip rod to catch carp to double figures for his weight of 71-15.
Very close behind Pete was Kev Dolton who also had carp fishing pellet feeding pellet for his weight of 70-09.

What a difference a day makes.
Today saw some returning and new visitors fish todays match.
Unlike yesterdays match the carp decided to play ball and have a proper feed.
The winner today was Steve Waters (Drennan) who had a lovely day on peg 30 by the car park. Steve fished a combination of a short line and down to the next pallet to catch fish to double figures in his winning weight of154-08.
In second place was John Beesley who was fishing peg 18 yet again. John fished along the edge to his left again catching fish to double figures in his weight of 116-09.
Completing the frame was Neil Jeacock who was returning after his successful day being coached by Jon Arthur. Neil fished peg 5 in the small lake and was rewarded with big carp in his weight of 88-06.
With the club match bookings starting shortly John will be looking to run a few Saturday opens so look out for details on the website or Facebook pages.
