Saturday at the lake was very hard and very cold,we had 4 hard frosts on the trot which realy effected the fishing. (the stock pond had a little cat ice on it also the dips were frozen)
in first place was mick chapple on peg 26 . who had a carp on the tip early on and then waited to the last 5minutes to get another large one on the pole for 27lb total.
in second place was john bennett on peg 24. who had 2 carp on the pole and also got snapped up by a third in the first hour and did not get another bite for other 4 hours. for a total of 19lb 8ozs.
in third place was paul jay on peg 14 who managed one carp for 13lb 12ozs
SUNDAY 11TH
A total change in the weather, no frost but a very brisk south westerly wind turning very blustery during the match made conditions extremely difficult for the anglers on the far bank, at times it was hard to present at static bait at more than 6 metres, due to wind and tow.
In first place today was john bennett on peg 14, with 2 carp on the pole (also lost one) in the first hour before the wind increased and then added another 5 on the tip for a total of 70lbs-0.
second was joff rogers fishing sheltered peg 13 who landed 6 carp he lost 3 others for a total of 41lbs-0
in third was john draper on peg 26 with 2 carp for 22lbs 4ozs
Another hard day down the lake, with cold temperatures and a gusty wind making it uncomfortable and a long five hours.
Firstly i would like to say a really big thanks to my web partner Simon for doing the majority of the web reports whilst i have been working around the country from Tonbridge to Newcastle and many places in between with very little free time and definitley no fishing time, so thanks buddy for your hard work keeping the regulars up to date.
John tells me that there were a few bites to be had and missed with a few big carp still making an appearance with todays winner Kev Doulton having two fish for 33lb and Mark on peg on peg 26 having one of 19-08 so the big fish are still happy to have a feed. Most of todays fish were caught on the pole and a couple on the tip although there were a few fish topping and giving liners but patience was the key.
Results.

3RD PAUL JAY 10LB-0
We fished 2 knock up matches over the weekend , as there was a drastic shortage of anglers. What we do when there is not many anglers is we just have £15 pools and ticket and a walk off to pegs, So you have got no body to blame if you draw a bad one. It is an ideal opportuneity to fish a peg you have not drawn for a while.
John Bennett won on saturday with 63lbs and John Draper had 40lbs
Sunday Dave Whiteman on peg 16 weighed 100lbs all on the pole, Mick Chapple fished peg 22 and weighed in 70lbs-12ozs and then John Draper on peg 9 63lbs
There is an open match saturday.
