I’m not one to make excuses but…….. it was darn chilly on the motorway bank, flipin’ wind and rain in yer face it was more like January than July!
And when I found I had forgotten to bring me Tea bags well that was just the end of the world.

As for that Mark Newbold fella. Comes along and tells me he’s not had a bite and then whips out a Ton, Cheeky Chappy.
You should have seen the paste John was using, it was like he was hooking a cokcer and swinging it out, shocking!
I’m hoping to come to the night match this week but i need to find a new method the fish seem to have giving up taking my bait! Fizzing like crazy but can i get a bite? No!
Apparently he used large lumps of paste to cobat the tow, similar to a harf brick I heard!
I have got hold of some luminous corn for the next night match I can attend, could be interesting.
I can vouch for that, i saw “swinging” what looked like a plummet wrapped in play Doug to about 5 meters.
I also clocked his very unique feeding pattern, one that shocked me given i feed about 1/2 a pint all match!
I suspect that would be Johns Wheel barrow and shovel method!
Yep, not far from it. Think he must have put in at least two pints in one go. I thought he’d fell in!

Don’t worry Mick John can have his moment of victory in this match, but normal service will resume when i return on the next night match.
I’m hoping there will be a night match on August 19th, the Friday before the Jinxsters are there on the Saturday.
I have even found someone who will lend me a little tent for a more comfy kip after. Still recovering from my Mondeo front seat snooze!

Good news for the 19th. Hope that doesn’t mean I will be the only one there though!
Not sure I could make the 5th as I have my Dad staying the week and doubt he would want to come along but you never know.
