17 Anglers Fished
If your fishing the final Night match of the year, Bring some warm clothes as its starting to get nippy down the lake now.
I could count the number of bites i had in the first hour and a half and the last hour and a half one hand…..
Tough day had by all, the fish were not in the mood at all.
Gutted cos I finally drew a flier!
You were most likely a bit confused as you were so far away from the small lake!
struggled to find a rig long enough to cope with 5 foot of water!
Perhaps we should have swopped a few rigs after the draw.
My peg 10 specials would have suited you.
Well done, Paul. (for winning a match with more than 4 in!)
I think I blew it on peg 38 as every time I saw fry scatter from the left edge I assumed Percy Pike had put in an appearance so switched to another line. After the match JB told me that’s what happens when the BIG carp move into the swim, DOH!
Looking forward to tomorrow night. Weather forcast is looking good and I will be back to kipping in the car, or peg 10.
(It’s what Friday nights were invented for,)
I’d definitely kip in the car if I drew peg 10 again in a night match. Had it on a cold, dark, windy evening it was great honest!
i think peg 10 would be fine if you could fish 30 metres over to the margin of peg 30…
