Colmic Open Day tomorrow 6th June.

Tomorrow down at Rolfslake tomorrow you will see Colmic sponsored anglers Chris Telling and Frank Donachie and possibly more of the team who will have on display a wide selection of Colmic products .

You will be able to try out the latest equipment from Colmic in a fishing enviroment from seat boxes to poles and rods and reels. These anglers are very knowledgeable on most fishing situations and all of the Colmic range, so why not pop down the lake to see the guys and try some new fishing tackle.

The guys will be down the lake from 9.30 till 5 and it would be great to see all visitors and their families and they can have a fish as well.

So if you are one of the left over anglers from tonights night match or are fishing the open tomorrow pop down a bit earlier a say hi to the Colmic guys.

Colmic open day June 6th.

Colmic Sponsored Chris Telling.

On the 6th of June from 9.30 to 5 Chris Telling and his fellow Colmic sponsored anglers will be holding an open day down at Rolfslake and welcome all visitors and their families.

You will be able to see a wide selection of Colmic products whilst having a go fishing with them. Chris tells me there will be a selection of boxes , poles from the F55 to the T5 Quasar to the new H1 slim margin pole. There will also be a selection of feeder and bomb and float rods with their associated reels Zartan, Blue power etc.

If you are looking for keepnets or landing nets again there will be a selection on display and Chris and the guys will try and cover all aspects of fishing with the terminal tackle required.

These Colmic anglers have won lots of matches and Frank Donachie has recently qualified for the fishomania final using Colmic’s products so they will be able to give you honest feedback on their tackle to date.

The Colmic guys make a lot of effort to have these Colmic Open days and would love to see anglers and their families come down to have a chat and also fish with these products you will not be disappointed and where else can you try great product catching big fish before you buy.

There will be refreshments to buy on the day from the cafe on site.

There will also be an open on this day drawing at 11 fishing 12 to 5 so to the match anglers why not get down early and come and see the guys.

On behalf of John,Simon and me {Eddie} we would like to thank our visitors to Rolfslake.com as in our 5 and a half years of exsistence we have had over 250,000 visits to our website which considering it is on a lake with only 37 fishable pegs that is fantastic.

The website was revamped from the old Rolfslake.co.uk by the brains behind the operation Simon Mound and between the three of us we have tried to give our visitors an enjoyable site to visit with videos, photographs and a bit of banter between the regulars via the comments posted.

The popularity of the lake has seen many of the angling magazines frequently visit the lake for features using many of the big names around Steve Ringer, Jon Arthur, Martin Bowler and Dean Macey just to name a few.

The lake also held the Drennan Cup semi final in 2012 which was one of the biggest weights recorded in the competition for one round and has also seen Jon Walker record one of the biggest live match weight 389-00 that Match Fishing magazine has ever seen.

We try to promote local talent on the website and we have raised the profile of some of our sponsored visitors which in turn have given them exposure through their own features recorded down the lake.

None of the lakes continued success would be without the thousands of anglers that visit the lake in Holton Oxford through club matches, open matches and private bookings.

John has also been responsible together with our lake regular Steve Waters {Drennan} in improving the lakes relationship with local tackle company Drennan International in aquiring tackle prizes for our recent Easter Festival.

Next Wednesday.

We would like to advise our anglers wishing to fish the match next Wednesday that the small lake will be closed to visitors due a private booking and will be out of bounds to all anglers.

Unfortunately  there will be no pleasure fishing available on this day and the match pegs that will be in use will be pegs 9 round to 32.
