A lovely warm day down the lake.
After a 270 mile journey to get todays match it was great to see a full car park for the midweek match.
John had decided the anglers were going to fish in the festival sections and the anglers were going to fish for an overall prize then first and second in section.
After the indifferent weather of late today was really warm 25 degrees, which brought most of the fish to the surface and then proving tough to catch.
Today’ match was decided on a fish for fish battle between Gary Donachie on peg 8 and Neil Riddy on peg 34 in the small lake.
Gary fished a combination of spots in his swim and caught the majority across at 16 metres for his total of 17 carp.
Neil caught his fish down the rope at 13 metres and Neil also suffered lost fish and also ended up with 17 fish but slightly bigger to win today’s match with 130-00.

SECTIONS PAYOUTS BASED ON 3X7 MAN SECTIONS AND 21 ANGLERS FISHING
DAY 1 AND DAY 2 1ST IN SECTION £45.
2ND IN SECTION £25.
DAY 3 1ST IN SECTION £70.

PAYOUTS WILL AT THE END OF FESTIVAL BUFFET ( CHARGE OF £2 PER PERSON IS DEDUCTED FROM MONIES COLLECTED)
DRAW TIMES WILL BE 9-30 FISHING 11-4 EACH DAY . WE MAY DRAW EARLIER IF ALL ANGLERS ARE PRESENT TO GIVE MORE TIME ON SET UP.
PLEASE NOTE RULES, AS IN FISHERY ONLY FEED PELLETTS AND 2KG. GROUND BAIT LIMIT, CHECKS WILL BE MADE.
ALL FISH TO BE RETAINED AND SENSIBLE USE OF NETS ie NOT MANY BIG FISH IN NETS, ADDIONAL NETS WILL BE AVAILBLE ON REQUEST. A NET LIMIT OF 100LB MAX WITH A COUNT BACK SYSTEM IN PLACE. IE 110LB IN NET 90LB TO COUNT.
IF YOU HAVE ANY CONCERNS OR QUERIES DURING THE MATCH THEN LET US KNOW AT THE TIME, THERE SHOULD BE A STEWARD FOR EACH SECTION, THIS WILL GIVE US A CHANCE TO DEAL WITH ANY SIUTUATION AT THE TIME AND NOT AFTERWARDS WHEN IT IS TO LATE.
ALSO REGUARDS UP IN THE WATER FISHING, NO SLAPPING TAPPING OR MUGGING OF FISH, MINIUM 12INCH DEPTH AND YOU MUST BE FEEDING NOT SITEING FISH ETC.
IF YOU ARE SUSPECTED OF INFRINGEMENT YOU WILL BE GIVEN A QUITE WORD FIRST IF YOU CONTIUE AN OFFICIAL WARNING AND THEN IF NECESSARY DISQUALIFICATION. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
BREAKFAST WILL BE AVAILABLE EACH DAY, BUT PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU WANT ONE SO WE CAN GET THE INGREDIENTS IN.
