On Tuesday Rolfslake welcomed the Angling Times down to the lake to test the new Diawa Air pole and John will be doing an overview of the day shortly.
ON MONDAY LAST WEEK I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM MARK SAWYER ASKING TO USE THE VENUE FOR A LIVE TACKLE TEST ON THE NEW AIRITY AIR POLE, I DULY AGREED AND ON TUESDAY WE CARRIED A LIVE TACKLE TEST ON THE SUPERB POLE ( YES PLEASE SANTA I WOULD LOVE IT FOR CHRISTMAS) IT WILL BE IN THE ANGLING TIMES ON THE 20TH NOV AND A 15 MINUTE VIDEO ON THE GO FISHING WEB SITE.
THE CARP AGAIN REFUSED TO FEED, BUT THIS TIME THEY WERE ALL SUNBATHING IN THE SMALL LAKE ENJOYING THE LOVELY SUN, WHICH WAS VERY WARM FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. HOWEVER 1 ANGLER CAUGHT 3 ON PEG 13 AND JOHN B LOST 2 IN THE BUSH ON 9.

I WILL ADD ANOTHER PLACE WHEN I CAN FIND THE REPORT SHEET
Just to bring you back to earth.
John tells me that the anglers endured another tough day down the lake with a north westerly wind blowing across the lake from the car park again switching most of the carp off from feeding. There were a few carp caught today and they were big { Paul Jay caught one at 17lb } which is typical for this time of the year down the lake as the small carp of 8lb switch off and the big ones feed.
Todays winner was John Bennett who was pegged by the tea ern ,i mean peg 30 and he caught 3 carp for 31lb and 10lb of silvers by fishing the bomb with corn and the pole with corn and maggot to catch a mixed bag of carp to 16lb and bream for his winning weight of 41-04.
Results.
| Place | Angler | Peg | Weight |
| 1st | John Bennett | 30 | 41-04 |
| 2nd | Paul Jay | 26 | 28-12 |
| 3rd | John Draper | 28 | 17-04 |
| 4th | Steve Williams | 24 | 6-15 |
On a final note i hope you all got a chance to watch fishing gurus that was screened yesterday on Sky Sports featuring Dean Macey filmed down at Rolfs lake a couple of weeks ago. On a very cold day Dean fished a roving style on both the method { only allowed for this feature } and the float and all the carp he caught were in fantastic condition and all double figures { well done Dean}.
At times you might not catch lots of carp down Rolfslake but the ones you do will be in mint condition and fight like crazy.
Thanks for reading John, Simon and Eddie.
