A strange story happened right at the end of the match as I was watching Robin Cave playing a big carp on peg 13 when suddenly his power 4 section broke and off went his top two and a half together with fish around the lake. In a flash John had got his recovery rod with grappling hook and launched it towards the pole and after two casts got it and started to play it towards peg 31 and as soon as I could reach it I was playing the carp and after 20 minutes the foul hooked carp was landed and I thought that it was going to be my first 20lb by default as it was huge but after weighing it sadly went 17-12 and I could of come 16th in the match without really fishing which made me chuckle.

The guys all had a good time and thanked Gary for the invite and we hope to see them soon.
