HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OUR FRIENDS AND CUSTOMERS

We would like to take the opportunity to say a happy Christmas to every body who comes to the lake, and a big thanks to Simon Eddie and Paul who help and contribution is greatly appreciated.

Last year was a very difficult and challenging time , the extreme temperatures and icy conditions at the start of the year was the forerunner of what was to come, fluctuating  weather patterns played a part right through out the year effecting fishing, also the unseasonal high temperatures later on did not help the fishing and even today with the unusual high temperatures are unreal.

we have opens on Wednesday and Saturday and Sunday this week so we look forward to seeing you, if not on these matches in the new year,So for now we wish you a very happy and peaceful Christmas

SATURDAY 10TH AND SUNDAY 11TH WEEKEND OPENS

Saturday at the lake was very hard and very cold,we had 4 hard frosts on the trot which realy effected the fishing. (the stock pond had a little cat ice on it also the dips were  frozen)

in first place was mick chapple on peg 26 . who had a carp on the tip early on and then waited to the last 5minutes to get another large one on the pole for 27lb total.

in second place was john bennett on peg 24. who had 2 carp on the pole and also got snapped up by a third in the first hour and did not get another bite for other 4 hours. for a total of 19lb 8ozs.

in third place was paul jay on peg 14 who managed one carp for 13lb 12ozs

SUNDAY 11TH

A total change in the weather, no frost but a very brisk  south westerly wind turning very blustery  during the match made conditions extremely difficult for the anglers on the far bank, at times it was hard to present at static bait at more than 6 metres, due to wind and tow.

In first place today was john bennett on peg 14, with 2 carp on the pole (also lost one) in the first hour before the wind increased and then added another 5 on the tip for a total of 70lbs-0.

second was joff rogers fishing sheltered peg 13 who landed 6 carp he lost 3 others for a total of 41lbs-0

in third was john draper on peg 26 with 2 carp for 22lbs 4ozs
