Another big weight required to win todays match.

With the weather getting a little cooler the weights were expected to slow down, but today the big carp never got the memo.

Today’s winner and showing a great exhibition of big carp hauling was venue regular Mick Jones fishing peg 26.

Mick fished the margins by the little bush to his right and was rewarded with big fish to 19lb, in fact his board weight at weigh-in time went 12 fish for 186lb and together with his net fish went 218-14.

There was a 3 way chase for second place between Dave Wilsden on 13, John Draper on 32 and me on 22 with Dave W just getting there with his weight of 124-03.

Too carp of the day went to John Draper who caught a beautiful 21lb common.

Another 300lb winning weight.

Today not only saw a continuation of the big weights down the lake but also another 300lb plus weight of 321-05 for Paul Hurll fishing peg 32 ( very well done Paul).

Currently the lake is fishing very well for big fish over 20lb mainly falling to pole and short range tactics.
