Thanks for reading John, Simon and Eddie
well done mick great net of silvers bet you enjoyed that beat the rest of the section added together looked hard in big lake
To be fair it seemed to be stuffed with fish. I got 332 and honestly thought I had done my 30lb winter weight target, gutted(!) All on the red maggot yet again not a single bite on Caster, very odd. It’s so weird that plenty getting caught on big lake mid week but come the weekend the Roach just seem to vanish away.
Ha now you know why I said there’d be scorch marks in the grass when you said oh I hope you don’t draw 38. It’s weird but it’s absolutely black with roach from 38 round to 4 prob cos noones been fishing there
At times I could miss cast by 10ft and still got a bite, miss it and pull the float in 4ft and get another bite, miss that pull in another 4ft and still get a bite. I haven’t cast a waggker that many times in 5 hours for many many years. Still think my flavoured maggots made the difference, gave the left overs to JB and he won on Weds.
No one else has really caught em tho so big well done nick. Was a matter of time before it finally got fished properly!!
My daughter looked at the picture of you and wanted to know why your pole was so short, I did point out that it was so long the rest was in the bottom photo. You look a picture of concentration (it’s that or you had fell asleep!)
HE SHOULD HAVE POINTED HIS POLE THE OTHER WAY, ANYWAY IT WAS QUITE COLD, IT PROBABLY HAD A FEW WRINKLES AS WELL
With that length of pole he could have swung right and poached a few out of mine.
The thought did cross my mind!
