I think I recognise the bird as a Yellow Headed Fern Percher,
A.K.A. Red Kite lunch.
Well done on the win,Pete. Bit cheeky stopping for a photoshoot though!
Paul Jay on 18!!! What a surprise
It is a goldcrest, the UK’s smallest bird.

Looks bigger than the other one to me!
I saw it and had to clean all the crap of my windscreen when I left Tuesday. It was on the branch looking at its reflection and dancing around on the branch. You could walk right up to it, very tame. It was the size of my thumb.
It looks big in the picture but it was tiny.
If it was that small how come it made such a mess of your windcreen?!
“It looks big in the picture but it was tiny” I shall ask Gem to confirm this.
Cheek Bugger lol 😀 😛
ha lol go on mate
paul said he dident fancy peg 18 today yer right lol
i have helped him move the tackle shed to the other side so he dosent have to walk as far this time lol
The little bird is a firecrest (I think) rareish.
