Monday Open Match. 19th March 2012
Only 3 turned to fish today which is a shame. Hopefully more will turn up when the clocks go forward.
Pos | Name | Peg | Weight |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Kev Dolton | 14 | 155-0 |
2 | Paul Jay | 16 | 133-0 |
3 | Steve Williams | 32 | 114-8 |
Kev Managed to catch his fish shallow at 14.5 meters while Steve was plucking fish off the bush on peg 32. Paul also caught his fish from the bush on peg 16, The fish are moving in and hopefully breaking up from their winter shoal.
Not many matches were everyone catches more than a Ton.
And a pair of Peg Kimgs too!
Well done, Kev.
to be fair fish-cap, only 3 fished! if that was summer with 3 on god knows what theyd have caught
must have been a walk off.
id have gone on about 24-25 on my own, bet you could have sacked shallow on pole
role on sunday!!!! could fish its wotzits off
Your such an optimist!
could also be crap lol
Your such a pessimist!
yep. you guys are going to empty it. Please let the wind be blowing into the little lake all week. Last thing i want to do is draw peg 8 and get neck ache from watching you lot empty it!
if you get peg 8 you are ok, the tree shelters you a bit lol
peg 10 could get mega neck ache as hes looking directly down the lake
ANDY THERE IS A PLACE AVAILABLE ON THE FESTIVAL PLEASE CONFIRM WITH ME JB
Hi Jon
I can confirm I will fish.
bit late to ring you tonight
If you draw peg 8 fish off the bank slightly and pot in maggot, you might get roached out or you might bag up! i’ve had chub weights to 60lb on this peg on maggot, that’s without the 200lb+ of carp adding to the tally! Fished rock hard yesterday, typical Spring wind and the fish went with it, high pressure and bright sunshine made for a not very nice day! Paul Jay won off peg 9 in the first 10 minutes and Pete Arnold 2nd with 30lb off 18, if he’d wagglered it into the corner shallow he’d of won it rather easily! but thats not his style of fishing to be fair.
mate, i dont think i could handle another 5 hours without bites….
i need a match on Alders, get fed up of bites every 10 seconds for a manky 1lb carp with no eyes or fins so i can appreciate having to wait for a quality fish at Rolfs.
thats a bit harsh to be fair. The carp on alders now are generally 3-6lb and in very good condition, they’ve weened a lot of the manky ones out
If it’s high pressure and bright sunshine Sunday you’ll catch in that little lake, nice shallow water. The wind was howling up into 21 yesterday, just hope and pray it turn’s round and blows into 40 for a couple of days! You will run to 38 then!
i must admit i cant wait for the festival week even if you dont do well its allways nice to catch a few
thats a nother few good pegs that i wont draw then lol
