Rolfslake Sunday open 14th April.

A challenging day down the lake.

Today saw another well attended match with some anglers looking to get some pre Easter Festival practise.

The previous night saw a hard frost which shut down the carp from feeding in the deeper part of the main lake whilst the anglers in the small lake managed to catch a few carp.

Today’s winner was Mark Newbold who was fish peg 5 in the small lake.

Mark fed quite negatively to catch his carp today using a pinch of micro as feed and a pellet hookbait  to catch 7 carp and 3 bream for his weight of 78-12.

Mark Newbold.

In second place was Kev Simpson who was fishing peg 14 in the big lake. Kev caught a mixed bag of silvers and carp for his weight of 65-14 and just 1 big carp off winning.

Completing the frame was me Eddie on fridge peg 40 at the back of the small lake.

After a slow start I managed toget a few bites on paste (about 20) catching 5 and a few bits losing 8 for my weight of 47-08.

Top silvers weight today was Dave Currell with 9-03 off peg 16.
