Today saw the really big fish put in an appearance.<\/p>\n

In today’s match I don’t think I have seen so many big fish put in an appearace for mid October.<\/p>\n

The day was not very warm with a slight breeze blowing from the big to the small lake, which I think helped the fish switch on to feed.<\/p>\n

The match started in spectacular style when Gordon Worrell had 2 carp in the first 20 minutes that went 19lb and 20-08 fishing the bomb and meat to the areator on peg 36.<\/p>\n

For the rest it was a waiting game but in the last 2 hours Andy on peg 7 started to get a run of huge fish ( his 14 board fish went 171-04).<\/p>\n

Andy fished a top 2 plus 3 fishing pellet feeding pellet , but still managed to foul hook and lose about 20 fish on what could of been a really special day.<\/p>\n

In the end Andy had around 21 fish for his winning weight of 223-04 ( well done Andy ).<\/p>\n

In second place after his speedy start was Gordon Worrell on peg 5 who also had a run of massive fish with 5 of those going over 15lb topped by the mirror of 20-08.<\/p>\n

Gordon fished a combination of bomb and short pole fishing meat and pellet hook bait feeding pellet to catch his weight of 169-00.<\/p>\n

Also a mention goes to John on peg 10 who only had 9 carp but they went 123-02 thanks to 2x 19lb and a 17 and 15lb fish .<\/p>\n

Today’s match saw 6 anglers weigh over 800lb of fish which 36 fish weighed over 10lb in another case of big fish catching.<\/p>\n

Todays winner Middy sponsored angler Andy Quarmby with 223-04. His weight was helped with fish like this 20lb mirror.<\/p><\/div>\n
