Andy and Anthony are crowned Rolfslake Pairs Champions 2015.<\/p>\n

Today saw the final round of the Rolfslake pairs competition and barring a miracle or a total distaster Andy Quarmby and Anthony Flint should be crowned champions due to their consistent results the previous 5 rounds where the points scoring and more importantly no blow outs by either angler meant they were carrying an 11 points cushion into round 6. The big battle today would be to see who was going to come second between Steve\u00a0and Doug and John and Kev as there was only 3 points gap and all to play for.<\/p>\n

The good thing about this league was you knew exactly what you needed to target and what pegs gave you a realistic chance of good points as in the carp section pegs 18 and 22 had been the most consistent and 38,32 and 13 were required in the silvers section.<\/p>\n

Todays match followed the normal pattern in this league of Anthony and Andy scoring a big 13 points with Anthony winning the silvers section from peg 32 with 24-03 and Andy placing fourth in the carp section to win\u00a0 the league and after a tense battle John and Kev\u00a0 managed to claw 2 points back on Steve and Doug but fell 1 point short leaving Steve and Doug to claim second place.<\/p>\n

Congratulation to all the anglers for fishing the league in good spirits and to all the anglers that filled in as cover for missing anglers.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to Andy and Anthony for winning the league.<\/p>\n

And finally a big thanks to John and Pauline for running the league and being great hosts to all the anglers.<\/p>\n
