Paul today fished on the deck using 8mm hard banded pellet feeding pellet and was rewarded with big fish to 19-08 in his weight of 167-08 and only one fish away from the chasing pack { well done Paul }.

In second place and on a big skimmer off a win was Meat man Mick Jones who only just made the draw due the M25 bieng chock a block and arrived very smartly dressed. Mick was fishing his celebrity meat at short range fished on the deck and again caught big fish which can be a challenge when it gets dark but these fish kept Mick fit as he had to keep going to the scales. John managed to catch his first fish after his bait had reached the bottom of his first put in of the match which went 13lb so i was playing catch up all night and as the match went on Johns catch rate increased. John started on the top kit plus one but after getting broken on a fish ,John switched to the left hand margin at a range of 4 metres and by using paste John managed to keep the big fish coming and after 5 hours he also fell one fish behind Paul with his weight of 160-12 but did manage a triple wammy of framing in tonights match, claiming the peg king of Richard Doolan and best of all claiming another victory against me in our seasons battle.

Another point to raise to our visiting anglers please all read the rules prior to fishing as again two rules were infringed on in tonights match and that was big fish being retained in keepnets WHICH IS NOT ALLOWED. These fish are very expensive and it is the welfare of the fish that come first and that is why the rule was put in place to start with. John has already increased the weight limit to 10lb max but to see fish of 11-08 in nets is disapointing but unfair to the anglers that get off their box to weigh theirs so all anglers co-operation is appreciated on this rule.

Just a thought if you are having trouble catching the carp, for the second match running Vespe / Miracle Baits sponsored Chris Telling has put another big bag of silvers on the scales all 54-00 of them.
