Biggest weight of the year so far.<\/strong><\/p>\n Today saw 13 anglers fish Rolfslake Sunday Open on a mild day for a change.<\/p>\n With the Easter festival approaching, it was an opportunity for the competing anglers to get in tune with the fishes current moods and feeding pattern.<\/p>\n Today’s winner was current Festival champion Anthony Flint who today drew peg 8 in the chanel between the big and small lake.<\/p>\n Anthony started on the 6 metre line snaring a couple of big carp but then changed to a 14 metre line towards peg 32 as it was vacant. In this swim Anthony caught 7 bream but when fished 16 metre against the far bank he added another 26 carp all caught on pellet for his great weight of 212-00.<\/p>\n In second place was Andy Quarmby who also had a great day fishing on form peg 10 on the motorway bank. Andy also had big fish in his final weight of 185-00 and was only 2 fish off victory.<\/p>\n Completing the frame was Dan Blackwell who was fishing peg 38 and after a slow half of the match manage to line a few carp up fishing down the edge.
