Wednesday Open. 23rd June 2010
Today’s open saw a hot and sunny day at the lake. Conditions were perfect for some big weights and that’s exactly what happened.
Mark Newbold fishing from peg 28 caught fish to 17lb including a 17-4 mirror carp by fishing paste at 8m. John Bennett fishing from peg 32 also had some big fish John was fishing the bush with paste and pellet to catch fish up to 16lb.
Mark eventually came out on top to become the new Lake King with a fantastic weight.

Saturday Open. 4th Sept 2010

Today 11 anglers turned up for the open match, a few people had dropped out last minute so this was more of a knock up match. At the draw John Bennett drew first for a change and held the peg in his hand until everyone else had drawn. Me and Marcus had drawn pegs 6

Fantastic weight Mark from a great peg and only one carp from 400lb but still king of the lake very well done.
That weight will take some beating game on.

Cheers chaps. My first 300lb bag! I think I would have made it to 400lb if I didn’t trash 6 paste floats….. need to get that sorted. Anyone got any decent recomendations as the KC Carpa floats are not up to the job.
I’m shattered today tho. Looking forward to friday it should be a good laugh!
